I believe in the bank’s leadership. I trust that they have made, and will continue to make, sound decisions that lead to continued success of the bank.

How does Lake City Bank exemplify its core value of inclusivity?
Lake City Bank has taken a deep look into how we not only can highlight but improve inclusivity. The bank’s leadership team has embraced the fact that we need to prioritize inclusivity across the organization. We have taken positive steps by creating a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force to start the process of having conversations and identify things we can do to make inclusivity a major part of the bank’s culture. A great first step is that all employees are required to attend the bank’s Building a More Inclusive Workplace class.

What have Lake City Bank’s diversity and inclusion efforts taught you so far?
I’ve learned that each person has their own version of what diversity and inclusion means to them. Being a member of the Diversity and Inclusion task force has taught me that you can’t judge one’s beliefs and understanding of this topic because everyone has their own story, and sometimes these stories can be painful. It tells me that we still have a lot of work to do, and we are taking the right steps forward.
